Piet Deyaert

Born in 1988 and raised in the Belgian countryside near Antwerp.
At a very young age I realised I wanted to make movies, not surprisingly with a photography-background on fathers side and a painter-background on mothers side.
I studied movie-directing at the Brussels film school RITCS where I found out my true passion was the image itself. Lighting and lenses.

I started shooting music videos and documentaries for national television. Travelling and discovering the world in all its beauty was the best start I could wish for. Soon after, I began shooting commercials as a cinematographer and ten years later I can still say I really love what I’m doing.
Learning new techniques and different lighting every day.
Living in Bazel, Belgium, with my beautiful wife and daughters.

I speak Dutch, English and French.
